| 1. What is Macrolane™?
Macrolane - the first hyaluronic acid –based product for body shaping. It is based on Q-Med's unique and patented NASHA™ technology which has been used to produce beauty enhancement NASHA gels used in over 9 million treatments in over 70 countries worldwide. The safety and effectiveness of NASHA gels have been clinically proven and well documented in facial esthetics for over 10 years.
2. What is NASHA™ gel?
NASHA gel is the crystal-clear gel consisting of stabilized hyaluronic acid, produced through Q-Med's patented NASHA technology. Biotechnologically manufactured hyaluronic acid (HA) undergoes a process where less than one percent of the HA is stabilized to form a stable three-dimensional network. The purity and non-animal origin of the HA used as raw material and the stabilization process produces a biologically degradable gel that enables a longer durability in the body and carries a minimal risk of transmission of infectious substances, in particular those of animal origin.
